Unlike many people I loved Charlie Chaplin's biography and a few years later - autobiography - books first and only after that I grew to love his movies. Probably it should have been another way around but at the age of 12 I was more interested in books. I'm a geek I know =)

But until today I never knew there was such a poem attributed to him. I do not know if Charles Spencer Chaplin has anything to do with it, but I love these wise words anyway and would love to share them with you

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY“.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody as I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me.
Today I call it “RESPECT“.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.
Today I call it “MATURITY“.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment, so I could be calm.
Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE“.

As I began to love myself I quit steeling my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm.
Today I call it “SIMPLICITY“.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.
Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF“.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time.
Today I discovered that is “MODESTY“.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening.

Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT“.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.
Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART“.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.
Today I know THAT IS “LIFE“!

HAUL: CVS discontinued items sale

Te other week was rather productive for me shopping wise. I managed to catch a lot of sales without even trying.

I went to CVS to pick up Revlon moisturizing concealer - that I happened to read a lot about recently. And guess what? it was 75% OFF (making it cost $2) So as a couple of other things.

These are the ones I took advantage of

The sanitizer was not on sale though, but it's my essential - most sanitizer smell make me sick - but I happen to quite like this particular one.

I also got was Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in 413 Twinkled City  - which is a pearl.

I was looking up this lipstick for a while, mostly every time I've been to a drugstore and was always afraid that a pink nude with gold shimmer can look rather grannie-like. But at $1.75 it doesn't hurt to try.
And by the way - it isn't - it a very subtle color

The concealer was totally worth the rave, so stay tuned for a review of mine

my new toy - Remington Pearl Ceramic Hot rollers

This is honestly a toy for me!

I've been loving it ever since I got it. You see - I adore styling my hair, but due to its extreme damage it's been heat proof (except for a blow-drier) for over two years now.

I've tried to go back to a flat/curling iron use, but it just didn't feel right.

So you can imagine how happy I was to get these hot rollers. With this babies I can get my hair done and hurt it to the minimum. I know - I still have to be moderate using them - but it's way better than nothing.

So this is what you get
It say on the box that rollers are ready to use in 90 seconds, but I prefer to give them about 3-5 minutes to heat up and taking that I have rather ling hair I leave ir on for 10 minutes for even results. Here's what a random application looks like
After that you can just tousle you hair and fix it with a little bit of hair spray. Note that hot rollers work as a mild curling iron and not regular rollers- so don't expect curls to last more than one day

Sephora for OPI Bare to be different

Lately I've been in a mood for sheer nail colors. So I decided to expand my collection and here's what I got

Sorry for a sideways picture, but I am not in the mood to fight with the blogger picture editing. If it thinks - this is the way for the pic to be displayed - so shall it be  :)

It actually turned out to be a bit too sheer than I expected(taking that I applied 3 coats) and I was about to return it as it looked as a clear polish. But that was until it started chipping off - that's when I saw the difference between my bare nails and "bare looking nails". It is veeeeery-veeery flattering. It might look like a clear polish - but it adds a healthy look to your hands - which is a great thing for me especially in the winter.
But still - it's not the color I was looking for. So if you know a polish that looks on the nails just like this one does in the bottle and has no toxins in it, please, let me know.
Thank you

Korres Wild rose foundation in WRF1

Hey everyone! Long time no see. I've been out of posting and reading blogs for a huge while for a couple of reasons. But that doesn't matter. I am back now and will try to read as many lovely posts as I can.

And add a few ones of my own.

So the first I want to share is my newly returned love - Korres wild rose foundation.

Let me start from the beginning. I've been in love with Korres since this spring. Bit the problem is that the nearest counter where I can play around with their products is my local Sephora which is an hour drive away. So most of the time I would go on buying online the products that I already know or are miss-proof. The problem is that my face actually seems to be a total different color in Sephora lightening or for some reasons pink undertones in products don't show up - but a lot of times when I buy a face product there in a real life light it turns out to be piggy pink =)
So I try to pay attention to the box swatches and if there is a hint of pink - I just stay away. Usually it works.
No wonder when I saw this (sorry for the crappy picture by the way, but you get the color)

But this time I was so desperate that I decided to take a risk and guess what - I was rewarded.
This is what you get (By the way the color that comes up on the bottle picture is very true to life.)
and on the back of my hand it looks like this

I still love it - and a full review you can read here. This post is just a color-wise update.

I would say if you are Fairly Light- Light in BE and around 200 Nude in Revlon Colorstay - go for it.
Not only it will give you coverage - it will also protect and heal you skin. But what I recently noticed - as my skin turns combination/dry in the winter - you have to be very careful around dry patches as it can accentuate them.
