Best thing to remove kids "art" from your walls

Over the past year I tried all the remedies and specially designed items to remove just about everything (from food to Sharpie) from my walls.

At some point I just gave up and decided to wait till my kid just outgrows this phase and then simply paint it over. But I overestimated my patience on that one. A couple weeks in it started to drive me nuts and I grabbed what I had in hand: a trusted purple Scotch brite extreme Scrub sponge and a Seventh generation  all purpose clear concentrate. And it worked wonders!
I am not going to say it was all gone by magic. It did take some scrubbing and with some stains (as in waterproof makeup for example) you could see some traces.
But hands down it is the best I got my walls to look without having to repaint them.
Best of luck with your little artists!

Getting back

Geesh, its been ages since I last blogged.
Both my life and the blogosphere have taken tremendous turns and changes and its hard to keep track of which ones of them I was able to adapt. Right now I am in a strange place where I try to find myself and turning 30 does not help (Am I talking about myself? I mean, how come? I have just turned 22, haven't I?)
To be honest the thing I don't quite know what I want to be when I grow up and I am. and so are all of us, quite pressed in time to figure this out before I start growing old. Which probably sounds hideous for those who are less than 25 years old as I probably old in their book already.
Don't know if it makes any sense, chances are, fingers crossed, it helps me in sorting out my thoughts and getting closer to my answer. I will be equally as excited if it helps someone else.
Bye for now, Rish

Empties: January 2014

I decided to kick-off my blogging year on a productive note - an Empties post!
So, here they are, they were not perfect, but did a pretty good job, since they made it to this post.

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion - I would say this is the least favorite product out of all these items. Don't get me wrong, it is fairly good, very fast absorbing and light. Bit I specifically bought it for dry, damaged by cold, dish washing and occasional dehydration hands. Unfortunately, it was unable to deliver any results on this front.

Caudalie Moisturizing Toner - love-love-love this product! Gives great results - skin is calm, more clear and soft in no time! Even if I occasionally forgot to apply a moisturizer afterwards skin never felt tight or itchy, even on days of scrubbing or microfoliation. The only downside is it's price - at $28 a bottle, it is quite a commitment.

Weleda Almond soothing cleansing lotion -have mixed feelings on this one. It is good for cleaming and calming skin, it is bad for taking makeup on its own, so you can either use it in the morning and on no-makeup days or take additional step of removing makeup before hand.

GIVENCHY Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara - an ok mascara, nothing worth paying $30 for though.

Marc Jacobs Daisy - the original eau de toilette - my favorite worm weather scent. Gone as the wormer day are.

My go-to smoothie

It doesn't get easier than that. But at the same time it's very nutritious and delicious, hey, that rhymes.

You'll need a glass of milk, 2 bananas, 1 table spoon of quick oatmeal and a blender. And that's about it!
And the experts also approve! ;)
